GWM Joins Forces with AusCycling as Official Automotive Partner

GWM is proud to announce its pivotal role as the Official Automotive Partner for AusCycling in an exciting three-year sponsorship deal. This collaboration includes the prestigious naming rights sponsorship for the BMX Racing and Mountain Bike National Championships from 2024 to 2026.

As one of Australia's fastest-growing automotive brands, GWM takes the lead in crafting exceptional utes and SUVs perfectly aligned with the dynamic lifestyle of cycling enthusiasts.

Expressing enthusiasm about the partnership, Steve Maciver, Head of Marketing & Communications at GWM Australia, stated, "Our shared vision became clear very early on in our discussions with AusCycling, and GWM is immensely proud to now bring this exciting new partnership to life."

GWM's commitment to fostering a healthy and active outdoor lifestyle perfectly aligns with AusCycling's mission. Maciver added, "With an estimated 4.6 million Australians cycling every week, our partnership provides the opportunity to help build the cycling community further, contribute to the growth of the next generation of champions, and introduce the GWM brand and our innovative vehicles to an even wider audience."

Beyond event support, this sponsorship will showcase a compelling branded content program featuring prominent cycling and riding ambassadors. Leading cycling commentator Matt Keenan has been named the first ambassador, bringing his unique perspective as a dedicated cyclist and father of two.

Keenan shared his excitement, noting, "The GWM Haval H6 Hybrid is the perfect car for me. We're an active family, and we never go on a holiday without our bikes." Emphasising the importance of environmentally responsible vehicles, he added, "It's fantastic to see GWM support Australian cycling. It's really important to have a fleet of cars that are environmentally responsible, efficient, and reliable. From what I've seen, GWM ticks all of these boxes."

The partnership is set to make its debut at the Federation University Road National Championships in Ballarat from January 3 to 7, 2024. GWM will not only provide official race vehicles but will also create a standout chill-out zone at the iconic Mount Buninyong climb.
